I am so excited! I just got a flyer in today's paper that Aldi is opening in Leominster, MA, today!!!! I had no idea it was even in the works. There is even a coupon in my flyer for $5/$30. I love Aldi. I shopped there when I lived in Illinois (12 years ago) and have been lost without one here. The stock is limited, as I recall no name brands and I don't remember coupons at all. What I remember is good basic grocery needs at prices that don't make you say "ouch." I don't know if I should expect major changes but I am excited.

Hi

There's a new store opening on the Methuen mass /Salem nh line next Thursday march 1st.
Does anyone know the stores coupon policy? I see that I have to bring my own bags and pay a quarter for the cart, but does anyone else have anything to offer on how this place is?

Well the carts you pay .25 cents for, but get it back upon checkout. I am also guessing sice they only take cash and debit, they may have lower overhead costs, if they have self checkouts and self bagging. Not sure that is true, will have to confirm when I go on thurs am . Any suggestions on how to research if they take coupons?

From what I have read they do not take coupons of any kind.  You could always call the store to find out for sure.

There's some low prices there but I didn't like it at all. Mostly their brand, not much brand name at all. If you look under "other grocery store" forums, 7/25/2011 that's when one opened near me.

So I checked out this new store in the salem /Methuen line yesterday and to my surprise, it was very small. No name brands at all, with the exception of two that I could see. Milk was 1.99 a gallon, eggs- white.99 cents, and strawberries were .99cents too. For those you of that love the cutie brand little clementines, they were only 1.69 for a 3lb bag! I just got done paying2.89 after my coupon at shaws!
