I went to Family Dollar today and got 4 Reach toothbushes, 2 Reach floss, 2 Carefree panty lingers & 3 sets of pajamas. The toothbrushes, floss & panty liners were all priced $1.00 each. I used two $2.00/2 Qs for the toothbrushes, two $1.00/1 off for the floss & two 50 cent Qs for the panty lingers. I bought the 3 sets of pajamas because all of their $10 ladies' pajama sets are on clearance for $5.00 each.

thanks for posting – i've been concerned that i would have no place to use those $2/2 reach coupons before they expire! will have to take a trip to family dollar this weekend!

Just got back from Family Dollar – AWFUL experience. I was told that my $2/2 Reach coupons were not for those toothbrushes – the Reach toothbrushes, that they were for "other" Reach toothbrushes, despite the fact that the coupon does not specify. And I was told that I obviously couldn't use them anyway because I can't get things for free – WRONG! She was really attitudey with me and in the end I asked her to please not have an attitude about it and asked her to cancel my whole sale and give me back my dryer sheet coupon too. I hate being humiliated by young cashiers – it's so hard to let them "win" but I'm not sure why I let it get to me! I feel like contacting J&J/Reach and/or the store manager. Very frustrating.

I had the same experience when I tried to use those coupons. They stated it was becuase they couldnt give away anything for free. The manager said the corporate office gave the order not to accept those coupons. I emailed the company about it and it has been over a week and I still have no answers! Very frustrating. At the bottom of their policy it says
In addition:
“Cash Back” will not be issued if the value of the coupon is greater than
the purchase price of the item.
Which means they dont even follow their own policy!

It's true.
I ended up submitting online feedback and got a call the next day from the regional manager. He was almost as difficult as she was but for him it was the number of coupons I was using – I think I had 8 which would give me 16 toothbrushes. "You will never be able to use that many coupons at one time in any store you're planning to shop at…" blah blah blah. He had no idea about anything his coupon policy said about anything. In the end he apologized, said the cashier would be spoken to for her attitude and tried to lure me back to the store by offering me two free toothbrushes. I never went back to take advantage of those freebies. Wasn't worth it when I knew I'd be able to get them elsewhere eventually which I did at Rite Aid without a hitch.

so after reading this forum i decided to go to my local fd to see what it was like. i have never been there before. i can say that i was not very impressed. i figured that the prices would be cheaper just cause it is a discount store. i did however, finally find the palmolive soft touch. a 25 oz bottle was $2.75 so after the $1 off q it was only $1.75. not bad. the employees were redoing the health and beauty ailses so i couldnt get down them with my stroller so idk how the prices down there were. i think i'll stick to the drug stores.

i used my reach 2.00 off two or a two pack at walmart and they were for the 1.97 packs so totally free. there not the best ones but hey they were free so i stocked up.

I have tried many methods of couponing with FD and have found all of their clerks to be uneducated as to the company policy. I have found one cashier with more patience than others and if I hand her the coupons IMMEDIATELY after she rings them up then we can address any concerns and she will over ride or I just have her delete that item. It is frustrating but when it works there are some decent deals to be had.

Actually, i will try my coupons @ family dollar. Hopefully i will be lucky and will see how it goes…
