Land O Lakes and Chefs Spread have always worked out free to the point I would have 8 big tubs of it in the freezer at any given time as well as tons of sticks.
But as fate would have it …
One day I went to my freezer to pull out a tub and there was none .Not even a lonely frozen stick floating around somewhere in the back of the freezer with an old halm melted popscicle stuck to it . They were all gone, I was butterless.
Butter is always been an item on my “I won’t pay for list”
We have been butter free for well over a month. As you all know I am a stickler to my budget and if it’s on my never buy list I am anal about not paying for it.
So I waited and waited and waited for my free butter sale to come along.
and then we got corn………..
That was the deal breaker for me, I failed , I had to (choke) buy butter.
I paid 2.39 for a tub of Stop & Shop butter ( I paid with the previous weeks 10.00 cat but it still hurt).
I came home ate my delicious buttery fresh picked corn and flipped thru the next weeks ad…and sure enough starting today Stop & Shop has Land O Lakes on sale for 1.00 and there is a .50 coupon that doubles to make it free.
l should have known better.
If its on my never pay for list then stick to the list.
Who am I to doubt that it won’t be free again! I know better than that. This recession thing is messing with my mind and my deals! I won’t let it win again. You got me this time butter sale but I am the master at this game now its my turn.
So the question is ;
How many do I safely stockpile so that never happens again?
I was thinking 20- 40 but as deals slowly creep away and the space between them grows and grows I’m thinking 80 may be the best bet for me.
