Make Your Own Baby Food
What better way to save money in 2014 than by making your own baby food.
Start the New Year Right by not paying for jarred baby food. I made all my kids baby food with a blender and froze it in ice cube trays until needed. This is not only cost efficient , it’s healthier and super easy!
All you have to do is throw whatever food you want to feed the baby into a blender and add water as needed to make it the consistency your baby needs. Some food won’t need water so mush it up first prior to adding water. I would always cook extra and freeze the rest.
Today on Zulily they have some great gadgets to help you make and store baby food and save hundreds.
These Baby Cubes are perfect for storing and freezing home made baby food. I love that the are individual containers and covered. These are only $6.99. If you are going to make your own baby food I would suggest these as a must have item. You can also use ice cube trays like I did back in the day but they aren’t going to have covers (unlesss Tupperware still makes them) and these are a larger serving size at 2 ounces. I also recommend the Munchkin Fresh Food Maker at $15.99 it’s a steal.
