Shelf clearers , hoarders, bad couponers oh my!
By now we have been called every name there is for having one thing…a stockpile.
The only thing that can be considered wrong with having a stockpile is how you go about getting it. The best way to get a lot of an item is by pre-ordering thru your local store. If your store is a coupon friendly store with smart management they should welcome and encourage the fact that you would like to pre-order for a sale.
Pre-ordering allows the store to get extra stock in to avoid them from having empty shelves and we know how much everyone hates empty shelves.
You can either ask the store to order a specific amount of items for you or you can let them know a specific item or items will be on sale and that they may want to be sure to be well stocked. I personally like to circle what’s hot in the ad and hand it to the stock manager.
If you do pre-order respect that the store is doing you a favor just as you are doing them one. Be sure and ask the store when the best time will be for you to come in and pick up your order and also let them know you will be using coupons. By now most stores already have the coupon part figured out but just incase you should mention that you will be using coupons . Be sure to pick up your order when they tell you to. Showing up an hour late may result in them not wanting to order for you again. The store may need to have a supervisor available to ring you out so don’t inconvenience them by coming when they are short handed.
Be sure the coupon you are using is for the exact item you are getting. The worst thing you could do is order a large stash and then hand them your stack of coupons and have them inform you that the coupons are for the wrong size product or the wrong item.
