Every year we plant a huge garden and grow just about everything under the sun and then some. My favorite part about having a big garden is all the extra vegetables you harvest that you can freeze and give away. I love the feeling of giving food away and helping others. It’s a type of feeling similar to a newbies first coupon high. It just makes me feel good.
This year my kids have informed me they want to start their own garden and sell the plants and vegetables.
Apparently they are sick of me giving away all my stockpiles and decided they want to have their own for profit roadside garden and sell the vegetables.
I didn’t argue with them as I can appreciate the fact that they want to be budding entrepreneurs. If they want to work all spring and summer growing vegetables and then taking the time to sell them thats fine with me.
But… I wonder how they will react when the neighbors start showing up by the car full to make large purchases. Their little hearts will be rapidly beating thinking they are about to have a big pay day ahead of them . Then they will be presented with this…
