September 11th
It’s hard to believe it was 10 years ago today our country was attacked.
We all will tell our grandchildren and great grand children our memory’s of that horrific day . We have survived something that will be in their history books one day.
I have vivid memory’s of that day. I remember having the Today show and seeing the updates, speaking to my sister on the phone and realizing what the date was and slowly, fearfully saying 9..1..1.. I remember the sick feeling in my stomach and thinking this isn’t supposed to happen here. Not in America. I thought of other country’s that have been under attack and the terror and fear of what they must go thru on a day to day basis. I thought what if.. Suddenly I didn’t feel safe anymore.
I remember having to get my daughter dismissed from school because we couldn’t locate her dad (my ex) who was “supposedly” flying for business that day.
September 11,2001 was by far the scariest day for all Americans.
Please take today to send your thoughts and prayers to the family’s affected by the terror attacks and remember to thank and appreciate the men and women that serve our country, our fireman and police man than risk their life’s for us and all the other emergency response teams. Appreciate what you have while you have it. Hug your kids and let go of grudges because we never know when our last day will be.
Life is short. Enjoy it, Be safe .
God Bless America
