Claim Up to $40 If You Purchased a Honeywell TrueSTEAM Humidifer!
Owners of a TrueSTEAM Humidifier made by Honeywell may qualify for a cash payment or a new humidifier under the terms of a class action settlement, if you purchased between Jan. 1, 2008 and April 14, 2017 for your own personal or household use.
Plaintiff Charles Leach of Massachusetts alleges that Honeywell’s TrueSTEAM Humidifiers have a defect that causes them to leak scalding hot water. Leach says he had to lay out towels near his own TrueSTEAM Humidifier to prevent it from causing water damage.
Leach also claims the TrueSTEAM Humidifier is prone to excessive mineral scaling and sediment build-up. He says these problems are the result of defective design and manufacture, and that Honeywell failed to honor its own warranty by remedying the defects.
If you qualify, you can choose to be reimbursed with your choice of:
- A new Honeywell humidifier
- Cash payment of $30, $35 or $40, depending on the size of the TrueSTEAM Humidifier they owned
Proof of Purchase Requirements: Along with a valid and timely Claim Form, claimants must submit one of the following:
- A photograph of the side label from the claimant’s own TrueSTEAM Humidifier that shows the bar code and serial number
- A receipt or invoice documenting the claimant’s purchase of their TrueSTEAM Humidifier
- Records documenting installation, maintenance, service or repair of the claimant’s TrueSTEAM Humidifier, showing the claimant’s name and/or address
