The Body Shop FACTA Class Action Settlement
Class Members include persons who, between Feb. 12, 2011 and March 21, 2017, paid for a purchase with a credit or debit card at a The Body Shop retail location in the U.S. and received with that purchase an electronically-printed receipt that displayed more than the last five digits of the purchaser’s credit or debit card number, may qualify for benefits under a recent class action settlement.
Plaintiff Henry Lee claims defendant Buth-Na-Bodhaige Inc., which owns and operates The Body Shop stores, has been producing credit and debit card receipts that display more than the last five digits of the customer’s card number. By doing so, Lee claims, The Body Shop has been violating a federal law that limits the credit card information that may appear on a retail receipt.

Proof of Purchase Requirements:
- Class Members who received notice of this settlement via email or mail do not need to do anything to receive their settlement benefit.
- Class Members who did not receive notice may submit a Claim Form and a copy of their qualifying The Body Shop credit or debit card receipt to the settlement administrator to benefit from this settlement.
