Start with one whole butter nut squash
Wash the outside skin and then place the whole uncut squash into your crock pot
Set the crock pot on low, cover and let it cook on low all day.
When you are ready for dinner take the squash out of the crock pot and slice it in half the long way with a butter knife.
Using a spoon scoop out the seeds and discard.
*If you are a prepper like my son, you can clean and dry the seeds and replant them.
Take a fork and drag it across the squash to give it a loose mashed texture inside it’s skin.
The shell of the squash will be so incredibly tender it will melt in your mouth.
Add the following ingredients to the halves
