Homemade Play Dough!
If you’ve got hair conditioner and cornstarch in the house, you can make some super soft and wonderfully scented Homemade Play Dough to keep your little ones amused for hours 🙂
What You’ll Need:
- (just shy of) 1 part conditioner + 2 parts cornstarch | NOTE: For the ball shown above, I used 1 tbsp. & 1 scant tbsp. conditioner + 1/4 cup cornstarch to reach the right consistency, but you can up the recipe to make more.
- Optional: Food coloring, just a drop per ball then work it in to distribute evenly
Just mix your conditioner and cornstarch until completely combined and it does NOT stick to the sides or your hands when you pick it up. You should be able to pick it up and put it down cleanly, with just a nice soft feeling and scent left on your hands after use!
*Only add additional conditioner if your dough seems crumbly, it should be soft and pliable but all stay combined.
Store in a bowl with a lid or wrap in plastic wrap. Have Fun 😀
Not intended for any child going through a “put-everything-in-my-mouth” phase, this is obviously not edible.
