What to do when you don’t eat or want the stuff that’s free
How can I Shop for Free when I don’t eat processed foods or use the brands of health and beauty items that are free?
We get this question a lot.Here is my answer;
Years ago I ate every free pizza roll that came my way and mysteriously never gained a pound from it and always had tons of energy. Then along came age 40 and poof pizza rolls were no longer my friends. They decided to stick to my hips and raise my blood pressure. I too am now on a journey to eat better and feel better. So what do I do when a item is free that I don’t want or I do want them (I really really do want them but know I need to step away from the pizza rolls). I get the product and stock up.Plain and simple, if it’s free it’s for me.
Here is why; A lot of time items that are free give overage. If an item is free I get it and give it to someone that wants it. I use the overage to buy fresh produce and heather snacks. If something is free and you are getting paid to take it then by all means take it! Giving away the items brings good karma and everyone can use good karma!
Don’t assume that you can’t get healthy products for free with coupons. I am regularly able to shop for free/ near free at Whole Foods. Every week we cover the Whole Foods sale and search for the best deals. Check out the weekly Whole Foods Forum HERE. You can combine store coupons with manufacturer coupon ant Whole Foods which makes shopping for free at Whole Foods a whole lot easier! We also have a Whole Foods Facebook Group.
Another great way to get free fresh produce is at Walmart. We often get coupons that give overage for example the Bayer Aspirin deal where you bought 3 at $1.97 and used a $10.00/3 coupon that gave you $4.09 in overage per coupon. If you had 10 coupons and a store with a lot of stock that was over $40.00 in overage that you could use on whatever you like. There is also Walmarts Savings Catcher and Blue Bird Double Cash back offer going on now to 2/28 where you will be able to get lots of items for free and earn extra overage that you can put towards fresh produce or whatever it is that you are hoping to get for free.
I always say shopping for free is like a math problem. Some math is easy , like getting free toothpaste. Other math is more advanced and requires some creative thinking outside of the box. Challenge yourself to find ways to get things for free. You will be amazed how much you can get if you put your mind to it. Have you gotten things for free by thinking creatively?
