I Am A Victim Of Targets Security Breach
We all have heard about Targets security breach over the holidays but what I did not know until yesterday was that I am a victim and you may be too. Thankfully Bank of America was on the ball and locked my card as soon as they saw the questionable out of state purchases.
On 4/29 at 12:39 am someone made a $85.00 purchase at Smith’s in MI one minute later they attempted to make a second $87.00 purchase and that’s when Bank of America suspected suspicious activity and shut my card down. They must of knew that I would never spend that much at a grocery store!! Thankfully Bank of America has me protected and there fast action stopped someones shopping spree.
I strongly suggest all of you go request a FREE credit monitoring and identity theft protection service from Target HERE.
TONIGHT IS THE LAST NIGHT you can redeem the code they will send you for free Experian Credit monitoring.
As for the fraud I will let the police handle it. I have to wonder if it was an inside job within the store. I am wondering how someone without my credit card in hand was able to swipe or punch in my numbers for an order over $25.00 without casher intervention. The fact that it happened at 12:39 am should also help catch the person that did that as security cameras should have it on film.
Please let everyone you know that shops at Target and was naive like I was to check all their bank and credit card statements thoroughly tonight and sign up for the free service right now. As always, I am getting in just under the wire for last call!
If you are wondering, yes I have cancelled this credit card which is why I can post a picture of it now.
