Every once in a while I meet someone who just amazes me.
Today I want to publicly acknowledge one of our members for inspiring me.
How to Shop for Free member Bryan told me he started couponing just over a month ago after meeting me in a grocery store. Within one month he has gone from never using a coupon to mastering the art of shopping for free. But that is not what has me inspired — it’s his amazing generosity to everyone he meets.
Brian has dove into couponing ..literally, (dumpster and all) to take on the full benefits of shopping for free! He has managed to score hundreds of inserts a week.
This week when I posted that Ronzoni Garden Delight was going to be free at Market Basket with this Sundays coupon he drove around to different Market Basket stores looking for one that would allow him to order 700 boxes of pasta in advance.
No, Bryan doesn’t have a pasta fetish. He gave it all away. He is starting closest to home by taking care of all his friends and family and then donating hundreds of boxes to his local food pantry.
Not only is Bryan doing the right thing by ordering in advance and not being a shelf clearer, but also he is paying it forward in a huge way!
And if that isn’t enough in itself, he is actually sharing his inserts with members and his friends on our HTSFF Facebook page.
I had the pleasure of meeting Bryan at my class in Beverly yesterday. I handed him an insert and he refused it. My first thought was the women he was sitting with dragged him to the class, until I realized who he was and that he did not want to take inserts he didn’t need. He wanted someone else to have them.
Ironically, Bryan was one of my raffle prize winners! He smiled and handed the free stack of inserts to the people sitting next to him.
Bryan, you are an inspiration to all of us!
