How To Guide to Navigate Your Walgreen’s Rewards ~ When Can I Use My Rewards and Still Earn More?

Walgreen’s has a great rewards program between Walgreen’s Cash Rewards (WCR) and Register Rewards (RR) but it can get a little confusing when trying to figure out whether to use rewards to be able to earn more.  We’ve put together this guide to help you out

Walgreen’s Cash Rewards

• Can I use Walgreen’s Cash Rewards on an offer that earns Register Rewards and still get the Register Rewards – YES
• Can I use Walgreen’s Cash Rewards on an offer that earns Walgreen’s Cash Rewards when you are required to buy a certain quantity (i.e Buy 2 Get $2 Walgreen’s Cash Rewards) and still get the Walgreen’s Cash Rewards – YES
• Can I use Walgreen’s Cash Rewards on an offer that earns Walgreen’s Cash Rewards when you are required to spend a certain dollar amount (i.e. Spend $20 Get $5 Walgreen’s Cash Rewards) and still get the Walgreen’s Cash Rewards – NO (unless your spend amount is still met after you deduct the rewards value)

Register Rewards 

• Can I use Register Rewards on an offer that earns Register Rewards for the same brand product and still get the Register Rewards – NO
• Can I use Register Rewards on an offer that earns Register Rewards for a different brand product and still get the Register Rewards – YES
• Can I use Register Rewards on an offer that earns Walgreen’s Cash Rewards (either “Buy” or “Spend” offers) and still get the Walgreen’s Cash Rewards? Mostly YES 
  • If you are using a Manufacturers Register Rewards – YES
  • If you are using a Store Register Rewards – YES on a “Buy” deal and NO on a “Spend” deal (unless your spend amount is still met after you deduct the rewards value)

Keep in mind that once in a while the registers or the offers glitch and you may, for example, earn Register Rewards when you use a Register Reward for the same product. This is the exception and not the rule.  If we become aware of one of these offers we’ll be sure to post it!
