Market Basket to Limit the Number of Customers in the Store
Beginning April 2nd all Market Basket locations will limit the number of customers in the store in an effort to promote the goal of social distancing. The number of customers allowed in the store at one time will depend on the size of the store.
In a statement, Market Basket said that the goal is to “ensure a healthy and safe shopping experience for our customers and associates during the coronavirus pandemic.”
Here’s what you can expect:
- The number of shoppers at one time will be limited based on the size of the store.
- A single entrance and exit will be designated for customer use (all fire safety measures will remain in place).
- Upon entering the store, each shopper will be greeted by an associate who will clean and sanitize your carriage
Market Basket will continue to offer early shopping hours for customers 60 years of age and older from 6am – 7am. These early shopping hours have been expanded to every day. The stores are then open to the general public 7am – 6pm daily.
