Here is another entry to our pay it forward contest.
I shipped these to my friend Sue In Florida, who has been really having a tough time in this lousy economy. I do not have the stockpiles others have, as I am unable to do the grocery stores, but I have done very well at Rite Aid, and I usually just buy what I use or need, not buy because it is free, so I get a lot for free but I also pay a little bit for a lot of items. Her husband had been ill for several years and finally last November received a liver transplant. He is doing OK now but has had it rough, as you may expect, and is unable to work. She got laid off last year, and has been looking for a job ever since. This is a girl who always would help others, worked in human services for many years. We met in college at a 24 hour hotline that she was volunteering at, she trained me. It breaks my heart that these nice people have been struggling like they have, as they have always been givers. When I spoke to her she had begun to do a little couponing, but now that she has seen what I have been able to get for free or near free, she is really going to make an effort to try this. If I win, I would like you to send her the coupon stash instead of me-she needs the help more than I do. Thanks.
