TD Bank North is offering a FREE $10.00 deposit for all children that have read 10 books this summer.

You can be a new or existing customer. All your kids have to do is write down 10 books they have read on this form Summer Reading Form.

Then print the form out and take it to your nearest TD Bank

They will then deposit $10.00 into a new or existing Young Saver Account

I brought my kids today and it couldn’t have been easier. I am using these accounts for them to learn how to budget and spend their own money. I will be encouraging them to make frequent deposits no matter how big or how small. Whether they are depositing a check from a Birthday gift  from Grandma or a quarter  they found in the parking lot it will all add up eventually.  Hopefully this savings account will teach them to be proud of their accomplishments and savings.

You can even  allow your kids to get a ATM card so they can access her own cash and have total control.

I am hoping my my children start wanting to put money into the account and take pleasure on watching their savings grow and grow.  I have high hopes but I am sure between my 11 and 13 year old one will be the saver and the other will be looking for ways to get that $10.00 out of the bank and into their hands and spent.     Either way it’s free money and a lesson will be learned from this one way or another.
