Toopy And Binoo Review
Toopy and Binoo is an animated series that follows the adventures of Toopy, a tall, funny and friendly mouse, and his best friend Binoo, a tiny, clever and lovable white cat. The series inspires preschoolers ages 2 to 6 to expand their creativity while reinforcing positive values such as friendship, good manners, creative thinking, and humor.
When I received my package in the mail I took a photo of everything and sent it to my nieces and nephew with an invitation to a movie day during school vacation. They were so excited they instantly replied yes.
Since my nephew’s birthday is this week he wanted to start with the Binoo’s Birthday video. They enjoyed that every episode had some kind of an adventure in it. My nephew thought that a surprise party would be a lot more fun then knowing when your birthday party was and wished that his party was going to be a surprise.
The Sparkle Binoo was their favorite episode after just celebrating Valentine’s day it was fresh in their minds. They told me how they made Valentine’s Day cards for everyone they care for just like Toopy did for Binoo. They said the glitter they used to make their cards wasn’t magical like Toopy’s was and that they wish it was. They thought it would me “awesome” in their words if the glitter they got all over them making their cards made them fly like it did Binoo.
Because Easter is right around the corner they enjoyed the Funny Bunny episode too. They told stories and talked of memories they have of the Easter Egg Hunts they have at their grandparent’s house with all of their cousins. They said too bad the Easter Bunny doesn’t hide our eggs with dinosaurs and in a gopher hole. Binoo hatched out of one of the eggs and they laughed with excitement and said “hey maybe this year our eggs will really be eggs from Nana and Gramp’s chickens and they will hatch baby chickens.”
This was really a fun day to spend with them enjoying the short episodes. Each episode has some kind of a lesson to teach them on caring, sharing, thoughtfulness, problem solving and many more. There are 12 episodes on each video and I loved the fact that each episode is short enough to keep the interest of all their ages. They could relate each episode to something that has happened in their lives. I will say though that even though the episodes can auto play we had to stop it after each episode because they all had a story of their own to tell about the episode.
After watching the videos we went to YouTube and to watch some more episodes http://www.youtube.com/user/toopyandbinootv
They are looking forward to coming back for the Toopy and Binoo Twitter party on Thursday, February 20th at 1:00 PM hosted by @ResourcefulMom to learn more about the show and win wonderful prizes! Follow #ToopyandBinoo to participate. Hope to see you there!
