How to get FREE Clothing!

How to Shop for Free® isn’t just about groceries and cosmetics it’s about finding ways to get everything you want for free!

People often ask how can you possibly get clothing for yourself and your family for free? Besides the obvious asking fro hand me downs from friends and neighbors there are ways to get designer clothing and brand new with tags items for nada!

I ended up doing the majority of my Christmas shopping thru Rue La La last year not only because the deals are great but I had a bunch of credits to play with and shop for free! ThredUp–  LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!  This is my absolute favorite site and the place where I have scored authentic Kate Spade Bags, Coach Sunglasses, Micheal Korr’s sweaters and bags , North Face jackets and much more.  When Thredup first started they offered a $20.00 credit for everyone you referred that made a purchase. I searched for items that equaled $20.00 with shipping and then told my friends and fans about the deals and how they could get it free with their credit for signing up under me. Everyone loves free especially when you do the work for them! This got me thousands of dollars in referal credit to shop for myself and children. Clothing Swaps–  The Swap Soiree is one of my favorite things to do in the fall!  How it works is you donate your excellent condition clothing to the Swap and for every item you donate you get a ticket. You redeem your tickets for items you want the night of the swap. It is a ton of fun and is my second favorite event of the year.  If you don’t know of any events near your home try hosting one with your friends. It’s a great way to get everyone together for a fun girls night out and anything that’s left over after the event can be donated to charity.

Ask – Other ways to get free clothing is to ask. Most people are more than willing to give you their unwanted hand me downs. My husband and I just became foster parents and I decided to just make a post  on Facebook asking if anyone had any unwanted clothing in the size we needed to fit our new family member and we were blessed to have great friends come forward to help us out.

Search -You can also look in Facebook Swap  and Freecycle groups as well as on Craigslist for people giving away clothing after a closet clean out.
