How to Order Groceries Online Using ShopRite from Home

**Important Update for ordering during the Coronavirus pandemic:

You may have the option to choose your pick up time first before filling your cart. If so, we recommend that you do this immediately to secure your pick up time slot. The use of coupons may or may not be allowed. You will need to check with your store regarding this temporary change. If you cannot use paper coupons, take advantage of the rebates on the coupons.com app to save money! Please also be patient with your SRFH staff during this challenging time as the demand for this service is overwhelming.

To receive text updates for your order after it is placed on what is out of stock, text SRFH to 20669. To pick up your order pull into the designated lane at the store entrance for ShopRite from Home pickups and an employee will process your order and place the groceries into your car. There will be a number to call or text to let the employee know that you have arrived. **

Also, if you need tips on how to keep grocery deliveries coming during social distancing, here are 4 tips that could help so that you don’t go without food!

ShopRite From Home is the most convenient way to grab your weekly groceries while taking advantage of the moneymakers, freebies, and weekly online promotions! You can have your groceries delivered to you, or you can pick up in store. Note: You can use only digital coupons for deliveries, but both paper and digital for orders picked up in the store depending upon the store. If you can’t use paper coupons, be sure to download the coupons.com app, Ibotta, and Fetch Rewards to get rebates for the products that you order. Always check the app first and activate your rebates before placing an order.

If you have never ordered groceries online from ShopRite, or just need a refresher on how to save the most money possible when ordering, here are some tips on how to use ShopRite from Home.

First, Browse the Deals!

  • Go to the Shop Rite Freebies and Deals Facebook group, to see what deals are being shared for the current week. This includes your Freebies, Moneymakers, and Items for $1 or Less!
  • Make a list of the deals that you are most interested in, and pair them with coupons that you need using the Coupon Database as a reference. You can also pair with rebates from Ibotta, Fetch Rewards, and coupons.com app. You will save!

Second, Log in to the ShopRite site!

  • Log in to your ShopRite account. If you do not have an account, register and get a ShopRite Price Plus card so that you have access to the best savings. You can do this from the app or website.
  • Select your home store and be sure that they offer online shopping via ShopRite from Home. If they do not, you may need to choose another store that is in your area. Not all Shoprite stores offer this service.

Third, Select Weekly Promotions!

  • Now that you have your online store confirmed and a list of preferred deals, click the Online Promotions tab to see if any of the deals that you have selected are a part of the promotion.
  • As you add items that are a part of the promotion to your cart, you will see the Current Spend for the promotion at the top of the promotion screen. When you meet the minimum spend for the promotion, it will show that you have qualified for savings. It looks like this…
  • For example, the Kimberly Clark Promo says spend $20 and save $5 instantly. Add $25 worth of qualified kimberly clark products to your cart, and you will see the current spend at the top of the screen as $25 or more and you have qualified for $5.00 off.
  • Don’t Panic! The cart total will not show the $5 promotional savings until checkout. The final cart total is the price you will pay before coupons.
  • Good Tip: Try to choose items that you have a coupon or rebate for AND qualify for promotional savings. Don’t forget Rebates! For example, Scott tissue is part of the Kimberly Clark promotion and there is a $0.50/1 printable coupon and a $0.50 rebate from coupons.com app. You will achieve the lowest out of pocket cost, which is the number one advantage of using ShopRite from Home. Double the savings!

Finally, Place Your Order!

  • Once you have finished adding items to your cart, select the date and time that you wish to pick up the order or have it delivered.
  • Most stores need at least 24 hours to prepare your order before you can pick it up. This gives you time to gather all of the necessary coupons that you will need to give to the cashier.
  • For Delivery: the only coupons that you can apply to your order are digital coupons as of December 11, 2019. Paper coupons are no longer accepted. It’s best to take advantage of rebates.
  • For Pick Up: you can hand the SRFH cashier the paper coupons before you pay. To choose pick-up, select pay-in-store when you place the order online. Take your coupons with you, and watch the savings add up!

You have completed your first ShopRite from Home Order!

To EDIT your Order:

If you need to edit your order before you pick up, you can do so within 48 hours before pick up at most stores. To edit, log into your ShopRite account and go to Manage Orders. Select the order you want to edit. If it does not allow and states the order is processing, then your order can no longer be edited online.

Yes you can. The order saves until you checkout.

  8. CandyceWright-Citrone says

I am not sure what you mean. You have to select a pick up time first before checking out. If there weren’t pick up times available, you cannot check out. Were you prompted to select a time?

I have a saved cart but there are not any time slots available. When do they start the next day

I already have all my groceries in the shopping cart and need it yo pick it up. I want to know if I can pay online, also I don’t want to get out of my car when I get my groceries, can you please tell me how I can do this Thank you, Diana

  11. CandyceWright-Citrone says

    April 8, 2020 at 10:25 am

The time slots vary by store. It is very hard to secure one. Many are online throughout the night waiting for them open. I wish there were a definite answer we can give you.

  12. CandyceWright-Citrone says

    April 8, 2020 at 10:26 am

You can pay online after you select the time slot for pickup and check out. It will give you the option to enter your card information to pay. Each shoprite is different as it handles your order but majority are asking you to pull into designated SRFH parking spaces and follow the signage to text SRFH and let them know you are there for pickup. They will place items in your car. No need for you to get out if you don’t want to.

  13. Al DiLeonardo says

    April 10, 2020 at 11:34 am

Can I add to my order two days after I checked out and paid? How? My order is scheduled for pick up in 7 days

  14. CandyceWright-Citrone says

    April 10, 2020 at 11:55 am

Usually you can, however, lately shoppers have noticed that they cannot edit their order after it is placed. You can try by logging in and selecting the order to see if it gives you the option to edit. If it doesn’t, you will have to purchase your items in store as srfh is not editing order via calls at the moment.

For a WHOLE month, I haven’t been able to finish processing the order. My shopping cart has been filled for almost 4 weeks. No slots available. Messages to the company, but no remedies. I go to sleep at 3am trying to get a slot. As soon as I get up in the morning I quickly log onto the ShopRite webpage and that’s the way my days go by..keep trying all day long. I honestly believe that there has to be somehow somebody from the IT department who are programming has whistle blower friends and relatives about the time the slots programing will be done. There’s no other way how those slots get available and get filled in a fraction of a second. or I would have grabbed one, when I’m not online, my hubby or my grandson get their turns by the computer….these has turned into an all-time trying job.

  16. Bob Paladin says

    April 14, 2020 at 7:44 pm

I think you need to review ShopRite home delivery. I rely on this service because I’m not able to leave home but ever since the news media starting panicking the world, I have been unable to get a delivery slot. Even if you try after midnight, you can not get a slot. I’m not sure if they stopped home deliver or if ass holes are taking all the slots. Anyway, the info you resented here is useless.

  17. CandyceWright-Citrone says

    April 14, 2020 at 9:21 pm

We have noticed slots open up for pick up or delivery within a few days. For instance, check dates starting as early as tomorrow for openings as customers cancel if they have to pick up groceries sooner and their time slots open up. Check closer dates whenever possible. Hope this helps.

  18. CandyceWright-Citrone says

    April 14, 2020 at 9:23 pm

This info is helping those that can get slots. We do realize this service is in high demand. This article was actually written before covid. Many more use it who have never ordered before.

  19. Bob says

    April 16, 2020 at 8:33 pm

I see this is working well…
    Think I’ll skip this fiasco.

I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE AS CUSTOMER ABOVE, BUT 2 MONTHS. I JUST DELETED MY CART TO START OVER. NONE OF MY LISTS WERE IN THE LISTS SHOWN. THE NEW DAY IS FILLED SOLD OUT WHEN IT JUST APPEARS IN THAT SECOND. WHAT IS GOING ON? WHATEVER, SQUASH IT IMMEDIATELY. I AM GOING TO THE LOCAL NEWSPAPER WITH THIS CRAP.

  21. CandyceWright-Citrone says

    April 19, 2020 at 2:24 pm

We are not ShopRite so there is no way that we can fix this for you. We see the same comments from other followers also. What I’ve found to be helpful is swapping out for other locations that aren’t as busy and checking dates with the earliest being to
Tomorrow as some cancel their orders if they decide to go into the store. There are also other online services for groceries that may be a available in your area

  22. Ad says

I placed an order and would like to add items. How do I do so? The options aren’t made so easy and I do t want anything to cancel.

  23. CandyceWright-Citrone says

    April 20, 2020 at 9:26 am

You can log in to your account and go to manage orders under your account. If you can add to the order the option to edit will be there. If the option to edit isn’t there and states processing, then you cannot edit the order.

  24. LAMBERT says

    April 20, 2020 at 8:28 pm

WE GO ONLINE AND HAVE A CART READY, WE RESERVE A TIMESLOT AND THEN GO TO CHECKOUT AND REVIEW THE LIST. WHEN WE DO THAT THE SHOPPRITE SYSTEM KNOCKS OUT OUR TIME SLOT AND ASKS THAT WE GET ANOTHER ONE. WE HAVE DONE THAT 4 OR 5 TIMES WITH THE SAME RESULTS. THE IT SYSTEM THEY ARE USING IS NOT WELL DESIGNED AND HAS MANY FLAWS.

  25. CandyceWright-Citrone says

    April 20, 2020 at 9:15 pm

Are you reserving your cart first? Try adding one or two items when you reserve the cart and go to checkout and then go back in and edit your order after. I’m thinking it’s timing out after you select the time slot. Let us know if that works.

  26. Suzanne says

    April 27, 2020 at 8:40 am

Do you happen to know how sale prices are affected if you get a slot and place an order for a date that is outside the current offers week? As in, if you place and order today with Cheerios that are on sale for $2.50, but youR order won’t come until a week and a half from now, will they still give the sale price, or will you then be paying full price?
    Thank you!

  27. Patricia Schaefer says

    May 6, 2020 at 6:37 am

I have some information with regard to questions asks. If you order products that are on sale, and then those products get delivered after the sales date, then you won’t be given the sales prices. Also, once you start your order, ShopRite gives you I believe 90 minutes to finalize your order and checkout. If you don’t, you lose your time slot. That’s what happened to me. Through trial and error, I also found out the best time to get a time slot was at about 5/6 a.m. When I tried at other times, I had no luck. I hope this helps.

If you receive items that you did not order then you should call the store immediately for a refund. There is a short video on ShopRites website on how to order groceries online if this guide is confusing for you.

There aren’t any ShopRite’s that far south. There is a ShopRite warehouse for bulk ordering. If you google it, it will pop up. I would call to see if the gift card can be used there for shipping.
